Personally I don't care about stuff like that (I recently bought a 5200 and I love the blunt, old fashioned, no bullshit aspect of it) and I love it.

My understanding is that give or take the odd decimal point of HP, most base vitamixes are the same under the hood and the difference is in fancy things like pre-programmed presets, pulse setting etc. I have a 5200 that I got a few weeks ago and that thing is a fucking power horse and it's several years "out of date" If I'm not mistaken the E320 is their explorian which is the entry level full-size machines (as opposed to the Vitamix One) The containers are designed to prevent leaks from entering the motor base, which is the number one cause of failure in lower-quality blenders.Consider that even the "worst" (that's in quote because there aren't really any truly terrible Vitamix machines) are still HEAD AND SHOULDERS above any regular Blender you can buy at TargetĪs others have pointed out, if you don't like it you can always return it

The vented lid and lid plug let you bring dishes to hot serving temperatures right in the container, or add ingredients while blending to adjust texture. The angle of the spill-proof container spout lets you serve blends with a mess-free pour. The blades create a simultaneous slicing and pulverizing action to quickly reduce recipe ingredients to a smooth puree. With a drop of dish soap and warm water, your Vitamix machine can clean itself in 30 to 60 seconds and no disassembly required. The powerful 2.2 HP motor can handle even tough ingredients to create high-quality blends.

With the pulse feature, layer coarse chops over smooth purees for heartier recipes, such as chunky salsas or thick vegetable soups. From appetizers to dessert, the 2L container is ideal for blending medium to large batches for family meals or entertaining.ġ0 variable speeds allow you to refine every texture with culinary precision, from the smoothest purées to the heartiest soups.
